Hallelujah Acres Diet Review

The program known as the Hallelujah Diet is a promising program with a misleading name. In this case, the program is definitely not a diet, it is a complete lifestyle commitment. It combines information from extensive research with interpretations of biblically based instructions for food and lifestyle. Most of those instructions come from Genesis while other books are included. The practical perspective of the program is having ¾ of your intake be a raw diet and ¼ is cooked food all from plants. The program is completely Vegan friendly.

The Hallelujah Diet includes a fairly demanding list of what not to eat. One way this is simplified however is by excluding categories not specific foods. And most of the categories make a lot of sense such as refined sugar and alcohol. The program could be really challenging for someone who is diabetic.

While many diabetics succeed with plant-only diets, education and specific food combinations are needed to keep this body chemistry on track. It can be easy to get out of balance in the area of carbohydrates when excluding high-quality animal protein such as fish and chicken.  With the ongoing evidence about the potential problems from a diet heavy with soy protein, that may not be a good solution. If you have diabetic or hypoglycemic tendencies you need to pay special attention to your needs on the Hallelujah Diet or ones like it.

One of things about getting information on this program is that the website is pretty hard to use.  You must be very precise with your mouse to end up where you want. The large amount of information is arranged via many dropdown menus and they tend to overlap enough for confusion and even frustration.

Overall this program is designed for someone who wants to make a commitment to a food-lifestyle not just a wellness program or pattern. Many raw food recipes are fabulous-I know this from experience with friends who are raw chefs. Few people can tell the difference between a raw recipe and a regular one. The recipes, however, can be time consuming to complete. This is a program that could be very successful on a group-basis where the group commits to fixing dishes in larger sizes and sharing them with everyone else.

Perhaps that’s why this program seems to have shifted focus from teaching people how to live this lifestyle independently to creating a physical community. The community is called Hallelujah Acres. You can find communities at Lake Lure, NC, Plant City, FL and Branson, MO. Fortunately, you can also access retreats, seminars, regular publications and products online.
